CLAIMS HANDLING

At Nfuture we define claims processing as “an insurer’s compliance with its obligation to receive, investigate and act on a claim filed by an insured. It involves multiple layers of administration and customer service, including review, investigation, adjustment (if necessary), referral or denial of the complaint. ”

Claims processing begins when a transport provider submits a claim request to the insurer. Sometimes claim claims are sent directly by transportation billers, and sometimes this is done through a clearinghouse. In essence, claims processing refers to the insurer’s procedure for verifying claims requests for proper information, validation, justification and authenticity. At the end of this process, the insurer can reimburse the money to the shipping provider (shipping) in whole or in part. The company may also reject the claim request, if found to be invalid, forged, duplicated or outside the terms of the policy.
